Sovereign grace is the belief that God's grace is freely given to individuals based on His own will and not on any merit or action of the individual. It emphasizes God's complete control and authority in choosing who will receive His grace, regardless of their deservingness. This concept is often associated with the Calvinist doctrine of predestination, which teaches that God has already chosen who will be saved and who will not. Ultimately, sovereign grace highlights the idea that salvation is entirely a gift from God, given out of His love and mercy. **

In my opinion, forgiveness has the higher claim in terms of self-control. Forgiveness requires the individual to exercise self-control by letting go of anger and resentment towards the person who has wronged them. It involves choosing to release the desire for revenge and instead offering understanding and compassion. Grace, on the other hand, is often seen as an unmerited gift or favor, and while it can also require self-control in certain situations, forgiveness is more directly tied to the act of controlling one's emotions and reactions. **

One can lose grace by engaging in sinful behavior or actions that go against their moral values and beliefs. This can include lying, cheating, stealing, or harming others. Additionally, neglecting to seek forgiveness and make amends for wrongdoings can also lead to a loss of grace. It is important to practice self-reflection, humility, and strive to live a virtuous life in order to maintain grace. **

God's grace is the unmerited and undeserved favor and love that God shows towards humanity. It is a gift freely given by God, not something that can be earned through good deeds or actions. God's grace is often seen as a source of strength, forgiveness, and salvation for believers, allowing them to experience God's love and mercy despite their imperfections. Ultimately, God's grace is a demonstration of God's unconditional love and compassion towards all people. **
